Planning the “guerrilla” public performances…Shen Wei,was the principle choreographer of the opening
ceremonies for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Amongst numerous commissions he was also the recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Foundation “Genius Award” in 2007. Starting 10/28/2010 he will take his company SWDA to the streets of NYC for 2 days of “guerrilla” public performances. Locations will include Times Square as well as other, yet unannounced, locations . This is the first installment documenting this effort.
